IMPORTANT UPDATE

From January 2019 we opened a second clinic room. This potentially gives us 10 to 12 available days of clinics per week. Some Evenings and Saturdays available.

At present we are THE ONLY Podiatrists in the Deepings area.

Alison and I are both HCPC (Health Care Professions Council ) Registered Podiatrists/ Chiropodists These Titles are protected under British Law for the protection of the Public

Our Practice has been running here since 2000. 

We offer all manner of Foot related Diagnosis and Treatments and carry out Biomechanical Assessments, supply bespoke Orthotic Devices. We offer Nail Surgery (with the use of Local Anaesthetics)

Mike Graduated in 1991 University of Westminster School of Podiatric Medicine. BSc. (Podiatric Medicine). Mike was twice the winner of the year prize for Podiatry. He has Post-Graduate Qualifications in Sports Podiatry, Warwick University Certificate inn Diabetes , Certificate in Managing Health Services, The SOCAP Diabetic Foot Module and is a Qualified non-medical Prescriber.  Mike has 42 Years Experience in the NHS where he was a Biomedical Scientist Qualified with a Fellowship in Medical Bacteriology. Then retrained after winning a Scholarship to study Podiatry and finally was an Advanced Podiatrists in Diabetes and Team Leader for the South Lincolnshire NHS Podiatry Team. Alison Staines Graduated from Harrogate University in 1995, with a BSc in Podiatry. She has worked in a number of NHS Podiatry departments and for several years at the Deepings GP Practice. Alison has Post-Graduate qualifications with the SOCAP Diabetic Foot Module (winning a distinction)

Sports massage therapy is used regularly by many of our clients as a means of recovering from exercise and release of tight, over worked muscles.

We also offer a bespoke, one to one Personal Training Service, which is tailored to your individual needs and objectives. This service specialises in core and functional training, diet advice and weight management or specific event training.

Peterborough Acupuncture and Wellness Clinic was set up in 2010 and offers Traditional Acupuncture at The Deepings Community Centre.

The following therapies are offered at the clinic; Acupuncture for Health, Facial Enhancement Acupuncture, Cupping Therapy and Acupressure.

Acupuncture has for many years been recognised as being effective for various types of chronic and acute muscular pains, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture is aimed at treating the whole person, rather than specific symptoms in isolation and can therefore also be effective for a wide range of conditions.

Acupuncturist: Amy Popely BSc Hons MBAcC

Amy is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) which is the Registering body for Professional Acupuncturists, and graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2010 with an Honours Degree in Acupuncture.  She also holds a Certificate of Higher Education in Health and Fitness from the University of Luton, and a Certificate in Biomedicine from the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London.  

 

She has also received post-graduate training in Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture and is a fully certified member of ‘Cosmetic Acupuncture UK’.

 

Post-graduate training has also been achieved from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in the treatment of Acupuncture for Stress and Anxiety, Cupping Therapy, and Women’s Health.

 

Previous to graduating as an Acupuncturist Amy has 12 years experience working in the NHS as a Rehabilitation Instructor.
